Some artists have been inspired to write and perform songs related to the incident. DC musician Michael Bowie is one such individual.
Bowie, a bassist who has performed at the Kennedy Center and National Cathedral, said he was drawn to write a song about Parkland because he wanted to bring people together.

„It’s really about people,“ Bowie said of his song ‚Never Die‘. „Let’s lookout for each other first.“
One of the main messages of the song is „if we have love, justice will never die“. Shacara Rogers is the songwriter behind ‚Never Die‘.
„I believe there’s life and death in the power of the tongue,“ she said. „So if you speak something, I think you can speak it into existence.“
