Call of Duty, Cuphead, and The Walking Dead are all discounted
Over 400 Xbox and PC games are discounted at the Microsoft Store as part of Microsoft’s new spring sale. The company usually runs deals on a few games each week, but this is the first time we’ve seen this large a collection on sale at once.
The discounted games run the gamut from the biggest AAA titles of the last few years, like Assassin ’ s Creed Origins and Call of Duty: WWII, to indie hits such as Cuphead and Rocket League. The first two seasons of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead ( my personal favorite entries in the episodic, choose-your-own-adventure story genre) are discounted to just $9.99 each on PC.
As a bonus for those paying for an Xbox Live Gold membership, many of the discounted Xbox games are further marked down for Gold subscribers. (Of course, they can also take advantage of the free Games With Gold titles announced for April .) If you haven’t signed up for the service yet, which is required for online multiplayer games, a three-month subscription is currently on sale for $9.99, which is regularly what a price a one-month membership costs.
This sale also includes discounts on select gaming PCs, including $200 off the Alienware 15 R3 laptop and the MSI Trident 3 desktop. Xbox One consoles at the Microsoft Store almost always come with a free game from a very limited selection, usually older titles that the company is likely trying to get rid of. In this iteration, though, that selection includes two brand-new games: Sea of Thieves and Far Cry 5.
Head over to the Microsoft Store for the full sale, or check out or best bets below. Most of the deals run through April 9, though some end on April 1.
