Over a year after its initial debut on Android Wear, Google Assistant is getting powered up with new features in an upcoming update to Google’s rebranded Wear OS platform for smartwatches.
Google Assistant made its debut on smartwatches last year with the launch of Android Wear 2.0. About a year later, Google has rebranded the smartwatch platform to Wear OS, and now it’s making Google Assistant more capable than it’s ever been on a watch.
In a blog post today, Google has announced three major new features coming to Google Assistant in Wear OS. The update, which should arrive over the next few days, includes the following additions:
