Here’s how to pre-order the Xbox One X, which is currently available for pre-order at Amazon, Best-Buy, and Target.
Microsoft fully unveiled the Xbox One X at its E3 press conference on June 11, showing the most impressive piece of gaming hardware we’ve ever seen from the company. Capable of playing games at native 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, it could easily become the go-to platform for third-party developers moving forward. It’s also the smallest Xbox console ever made, which should give you plenty of extra space for a 4K, HDR-capable television.
The console hits stores November 7, and will cost $500. Pre-orders we previously available for the limited “Project Scorpio Edition,” which comes in a special finish with a special all-black controller, vertical stand, and the words “Project Scorpio” written on both the console and controller. As of September 20, pre-orders are also available for the standard edition of the system, which comes with an all-black finish.
But how can you get your hands on one? Here’s how to pre-order the Xbox One X.
Retailer GameStop currently has the standard edition of the console listed on its website, though it is currently listed as “not available.” Expect to see several higher-priced bundles announced closer to launch, including some featuring games that make use of the Xbox One X’s increased horsepower.
Walmart’s website currently has a final listing for the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition, complete with its $500 price tag. No standard edition appears to be live yet.
Target has a listing for the standard edition Xbox One X on its website and, as of the morning of September 20, it’s available for pre-order.
The standard edition Xbox One X page at Best Buy also lists the console as available for pre-order, as of September 20. If you live in a major city, you’ll have a chance to try out the console at a Best Buy location prior to launch.
Amazon has stopped taking pre-orders for the Xbox One X after a short period of availability on August 20,2017. The Xbox One X standard edition pre-order page is listed as available for pre-order.
