BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — An Alabama man accused of attacking a woman with a Japanese wooden sword has been arrested.
AL.com reports 47-year-old Michael Craig Brittain was arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree assault and resisting arrest. The victim’s condition is unclear.
Investigators wrote in an arrest warrant that Brittain had a detailed plan to kill the victim and her ex-husband. Court documents state that the woman was a part-time resident in Brittain’s home.
