Der Kanzler weiß: Es ist das erste Mal überhaupt, dass russische Drohnen über dem Territorium der Nato abgeschossen worden sind. Das ist eine Grenzüberschreitung. Aber: Zunächst muss aus seiner Sicht abgewartet werden, wie sich die Situation entwickelt, erst recht, bis er sich äußert.
„Das Lagebild ist fließend“, heißt es im Kanzleramt. Zumal die Nato am Vormittag das weitere Vorgehen noch berät. Doch es gibt erste, durchaus deutliche Einschätzungen aus der Kanzler-Partei!
Außenexperte Stephan Mayer (51, CSU) sagte zu BILD: „Der Angriff auf Polen ist höchst alarmierend. Er zeigt: Putin will keinen Frieden, schon gar nicht in der Ukraine. Ganz im Gegenteil: Mit dem Drohnenangriff bestätigt Putin einmal mehr, dass es ihm nicht nur um die Ukraine geht, sondern dass er auch eine akute Gefahr für die Nato darstellt.“
Diese neue Eskalation des Konflikts und „den damit verbundenen Luftangriff auf Polen“ müsse die Nato jetzt sehr ernst nehmen.

Jetzt testet er die Nato ganz konkret: von Provokationen zu Aggressionen. Wer jetzt immer noch glaubt, der Krieg Russlands gegen seine Nachbarn liegt weit weg, muss spätestens jetzt aufwachen!“
Nach dem Drohen-Warn-Anruf sind viele andere Themen für Kanzler Merz an diesem Mittwoch nur noch Nebensache.
Die Luftraumverletzung und ihre möglichen Folgen dominierten nach BILD-Informationen die Morgenlage des Regierungschefs mit seinen engsten Mitarbeitern und danach das „schwarze Frühstück“, bei dem neben den Unions-Ministern auch die Fraktionschefs dabei sind.
Auch das Kabinett, das eigentlich vorrangig über Steuererleichterungen (u. a. höhere Entfernungspauschale) beraten sollte, hatte nun ein neues Top-Thema.
Merz will sich aber zunächst nicht selbst äußern. Momentan koordinieren die Fachminister das weitere Vorgehen, heißt es. Der Kanzler wird aber ab 16 Uhr an der Energiekonferenz der Konzernbetriebsräte von EnBW, E.ON, LEAG, RWE, Uniper und Vattenfall in der Bremer Landesvertretung teilnehmen. Dort könnte er nach dem Thema gefragt werden …

With under a year to go until the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, it’s time for fans to try to book their spot at the global soccer celebration.
The tournament is the first ever World Cup to be played in three different countries, with the US, Canada and Mexico all hosting games, and will also be the largest edition ever, with 48 teams competing to lift the famous trophy.
Played across 16 different cities, including here in the Bay Area at Levi’s Stadium, fans will be offered plenty of opportunities to see the highest level of international soccer and some of the biggest names in the game take to the pitch.

So here’s everything you need to know about how to snap up tickets for the tournament.When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets for the 2026 World Cup will be sold in three phases.
The first phase began on Wednesday at 8 a.m. PT when fans can enter a presale draw, open to people 18 and older with a FIFA ID account after registering on the official FIFA website and Visa cardholders.
The entry period for the presale draw will run until Friday, September 19, with successful applicants – chosen via a random selection process – being notified that they are able to purchase tickets from September 29.
Those that are successful will be given a time slot to purchase tickets beginning from October 1, with tickets to all 104 matches available to buy at the beginning of the process on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prices for group stage match tickets will begin at $60, with prices rising to $6,730 for the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Phase two of the process is expected to begin in late October, with the registration period for the “Early Ticket Draw” anticipated to take place between October 27 and 31.
Similar to phase one, successful applicants will be chosen by a randomized selection process and will be assigned a slot – likely from mid-November to early December – to purchase tickets.
Phase three – called the “Random Selection Draw” – will start after the December 5 draw to decide the groups and schedule for the tournament takes place and will allow fans to submit applications for specific matches.
FIFA also announced that any leftover tickets will be available to purchase closer to the start of the tournament on a first-come, first-served basis and that it will be organizing an official resale platform to “safeguard fans against invalid or unauthorised resale and is available to fans subject to federal and local regulations.”

With its new iPhone 17 Pro in “Cosmic Orange,” Apple just broke the boring color rule on Pro phones, and Android should follow.
Yesterday’s iPhone 17 Pro reveal introduced a new design language for Apple, but also a new signature colorway in an orange iPhone 17 Pro and… uh… bring on the orange Android phones. Or, at bare minimum, let’s embrace the return of actual colors on Pro phones.
In its new iPhone 17 Pro, Apple has switched back to an aluminum build, ditching the titanium design it hyped up for the past couple of generations. Ultimately, that doesn’t matter seeing as the benefits of titanium were minimal. But it is allowing Apple to introduce a striking new “Cosmic Orange” design.
This new colorway brings back memories of the Pixel 4’s underrated “Oh So Orange,” which was a unique entry at the time. Not only was it one of the most vibrant colors on a smartphone at the time, but orange had been a bit of an outlier up until then. It made rare appearances in accent colors, but it was far from a common choice.
And, since the Pixel 4’s demise, it’s a color we’ve still not seen a ton of. Google somewhat revisited orange in 2022’s “Coral” Pixel 7a, while Motorola also introduced a Razr in orange in some regions. Nothing’s CMF brand has also launched two smartphones in orange.
But, with Apple now adopting orange in the iPhone 17 Pro, the floodgates are open.
It’s almost a guarantee that we’ll be seeing orange pop up in various Android phones over the next year or two because, well, that’s the pattern. If Apple focuses on a new color, Android brands often tend to follow not too far behind in one way or another.
Arguably the bigger deal here, though, is that Apple broke the rule of boring colors on its “Pro” phones.
Almost every smartphone brand, Apple included, is guilty of putting out “Pro” phones with horribly boring color options. A great example of that is the Pixel 10 series, where the base Pixel 10 has some vibrant blue and yellow options, but the Pro lineup is devoid of saturation. As mentioned, Apple usually does the same, with every “Pro” iPhone being some variation of neutral in its colors. Weirdly, the iPhone 17 series just flips this entirely. The base iPhone 17 mostly consists of fairly subdued color choices, while the new iPhone Air comes in black, white, white with some blue, and white with some gold. It’s this “Cosmic Orange” Pro that stands out from everything.
I really hope that Android brands will follow suit, both in vibrant colors on “Pro” devices, and incoporating orange.

Chapman fatally shot Lennon on the night of Dec. 8, 1980, as the musician and his wife, Yoko Ono, were returning to their Upper West Side apartment. Lennon had signed an autograph for Chapman on a copy of his recently released album, “Double Fantasy,” earlier that day.
Chapman was arrested within minutes, sitting near the shooting scene with a copy of J.D. Salinger’s novel, “The Catcher in the Rye.”
Lennon was 40 years old.
The transcript for the latest parole board hearing was not immediately available. But Chapman previously expressed remorse for the crime.
“I knew what I was doing, and I knew it was evil, I knew it was wrong, but I wanted the fame so much that I was willing to give everything and take a human life,” he told a parole board three years ago.
Chapman is serving a 20-years-to-life sentence at Green Haven Correctional Facility, north of New York City, according to online state corrections records.
His next parole hearing is in February 2027.

Ankara – Die Lage im Nahen Osten eskaliert immer weiter. Am 9. September hat Israel ein Gebäude in der katarischen Hauptstadt mit einem Luftschlag angegriffen. Mindestens fünf Mitglieder der Hamas sollen dabei getötet worden sein, hieß es ersten Meldungen zufolge.
In der Region hat der Angriff zu einem Schock geführt. „Der Staat Katar verurteilt den feigen israelischen Angriff auf Wohngebäude, in denen mehrere Mitglieder des Politbüros der Hamas in der katarischen Hauptstadt Doha leben, aufs Schärfste“, empörte sich der Sprecher des katarischen Außenministeriums. Der israelische Angriff sei kriminell, stelle einen eklatanten Verstoß gegen alle internationales Recht dar und bedrohe die Sicherheit der Einwohner Katars.
Auch in der Türkei hat der israelische Angriff für Verärgerung gesorgt. Das türkische Außenministerium verurteilte ebenfalls den tödlichen Angriff auf die Hamas-Funktionäre, die an den Friedensverhandlungen mit Israel teilnahmen. „Die Tatsache, dass die Hamas-Verhandlungsdelegation während der laufenden Waffenstillstandsverhandlungen angegriffen wurde, zeigt, dass Israel nicht auf Frieden, sondern auf die Fortsetzung des Krieges aus ist“, hieß es in einer Mitteilung des türkischen Außenministeriums. „Dies ist ein klarer Beweis für die expansionistische Politik Israels in der Region und dafür, dass es den Terrorismus als staatliche Politik verfolgt.“
Später meldete sich auch Präsident Recep Tayyip Erdogan auf der Online-Plattform X zu Wort. Israel habe den Terror zur Staatspolitik gemacht und mit der Aktion die Sicherheit und den Frieden unseres Schwesterlandes Katar in Gefahr gebracht. „Wir werden unsere entschlossene und zielstrebige Haltung gegenüber dem israelischen Banditentum beibehalten, das darauf abzielt, die gesamte Region in die Katastrophe zu reißen. Wir werden weiterhin den Frieden, das Völkerrecht und die Freiheit des palästinensischen Volkes um jeden Preis verteidigen.“
Die Verärgerung in der Türkei ist verständlich. Im Dezember 2023 waren Meldungen in der Presse aufgetaucht, dass der damalige Chef des israelischen Inlandsgeheimdienstes Shin Bet, Ronen Bar, Hamas-Mitglieder in Katar und auch in der Türkei zur Strecke bringen will. Umso mehr stellt sich die Frage in der Türkei, ob der israelische Geheimdienst jetzt auch in der Türkei Hamas-Funktionäre liquidieren wird. Bislang galt das Land als sicherer Hafen für die Hamas.
Auch die israelische Wirtschaftszeitung Globes wirft die Frage auf, ob nun demnächst auch Hamas-Funktionäre in der Türkei an der Reihe seien. Schließlich sei die Türkei das „wirtschaftliche Herzstück der Hamas“, schreibt das Blatt. „Von Istanbul aus bauten Salah al-Aruri (in Beirut getötet) und Zaher Jabarin (möglicherweise nun in Doha getötet) ein Finanzimperium im Wert von über 500 Millionen Dollar auf: Investmentfonds, Firmen und Hilfsorganisationen in der Türkei, Katar, Libanon und weiteren Staaten“. Eine kuwaitisch-türkische Bank soll bei den Geldtransfers geholfen haben.
Ähnlich sieht es auch ein Experte für internationale Beziehungen. Ceng Sagnic schrieb auf X, dass Istanbul das nächste Ziel für Israel sein könnte, um die Hamas anzugreifen – es sei denn, es werde ein dreiseitiges Verständnis zwischen Washington, Jerusalem und Ankara erreicht. „Türkische Offizielle sollten die Entschlossenheit Israels, die Hamas zu vernichten, und die Unterstützung der USA dafür nicht unterschätzen“, warnte Sagnic, der zuvor am Moshe Dayan Center an der Universität Tel Aviv geforscht hat und heute in den USA als Sicherheitsberater tätig ist.
Das Kuscheln von Erdogan mit der Hamas könnte für die Türkei teuer werden, glaubt Prof. Sinan Ciddi, der an der Marine Corps University (MCU) in den USA lehrt. „Erdogan und Co. hatten buchstäblich Jahre Zeit, die Hamas fallen zu lassen – verdammt, sogar die Arabische Liga verurteilt ihre Aktionen und ist das einzige NATO-Land, das sie unterstützt“, so Ciddi. Allerdings ist zu bedenken, dass die Türkei ein Nato-Land ist und somit unter dem Schutzschirm des westlichen Verteidigungsbündnisses steht. Die Statuen dessen sagen, dass ein Angriff auf ein Mitglied als ein Angriff auf alle anzusehen ist. Ob die Nato in dem Fall auf der Seite der Türkei stehen wird, wird sich zeigen müssen.
In den türkischen Medien wird das Thema im großen Stil behandelt. „Die niederträchtigen Zionisten haben offen verkündet, welche türkische Stadt Israel angreifen wird“, titelte die islamistische Yeni Akit. Ähnlich sah es auch die regierungsnahe Sabah. „Die Zionisten, die die USA im Rücken haben, sind nach dem Angriff auf Doha außer Kontrolle geraten: Das nächste Ziel ist die Türkei und Erdoğan!“
In der Türkei wird man daher angesichts möglicher Operationen Israels vorsichtig sein. „Israel, der einzige jüdische Staat der Welt und die einzige Demokratie im Nahen Osten, führt einen Existenzkampf gegen extremistische Feinde, die seine Vernichtung anstreben. Die internationale Gemeinschaft muss Israel in diesem Kampf unterstützen“, ließ der israelische Außenminister Gideon Saar mitteilen. Federal agents seize more than 600K illegal vapes in nationwide crackdown

Bensenville, Ill. Federal agents carried out seizures nationwide of illegal vaping products Wednesday as the Trump administration moved to crack down on products that are regularly used by teens in the U.S. after being smuggled in from China.
Attorney General Pam Bondi and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. traveled to Illinois to tout the seizures, which included more than 600,000 illegal products taken from a distributor outside of Chicago.
At a news conference on Wednesday, Bondi said hundreds of thousands of products were seized by federal agents, many smuggled into the U.S. from China.
“They’re targeting children, young adults, students and even members of our military” Bondi said. “Make no mistake Chinese companies are making billions of dollars off of these products. They’re peddling them into our country.”
It’s the latest attempt by law enforcement to staunch the flow of unauthorized vapes that have flooded into the U.S. in kid-friendly flavors, often from China. Their influx has forced the FDA to try to eliminate thousands of illegal products sold by under-the-radar importers and distributors.
Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Marshals Service also seized illegal products from distributors and retailers in North Carolina, Arizona, New Jersey, Georgia and Florida, federal officials said.
The Justice Department also filed civil actions Wednesday seeking to halt illegal business practices happening at five distributors and five retailers, officials said. That follows undercover buys of illegal products that ATF agents carried out at distributors across the country last month, according to authorities.
Standing in front of a warehouse where products were seized, she said the Justice Department would also not rule out bringing criminal charges, if warranted.
Vaping among teens skyrocketed in 2019, when more than a quarter reported using vapes daily. But use has declined in recent years with fewer adolescents reported vaping in 2024 than at any point in the last decade. Officials attributed that drop in part to more aggressive enforcement against retailers and manufacturers.
The Vapor Technology Association blasted the FDA and federal officials, arguing the actions threaten to bankrupt thousands of small businesses, cost tens of thousands of jobs, and erase billions in tax revenue. The group’s executive director, Tony Abboud, called the seizures “an assault on American workers, small businesses, and the tax base” and urged regulators to reverse course.

Сейчас для них наступил момент истины: военный ответ России, в том числе через ВСУ и введение действительно адских санкций, или ворота в их персональный ад. Poland’s Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk wrote on X that an operation to “neutralize objects that have violated and exceeded the border of the Republican of Poland is underway.”
“The state authorities, namely the President of the Republican of Poland and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, have been notified”, Tomczyk wrote.
Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said the Polish military was in “constant contact with NATO command.”
“The Territorial Defense Forces have been activated for ground searches of downed drones”, Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote on X. “We ask for calm and to share only the announcements of the military and state services. In case of encountering object fragments, please do not approach them and inform the police.”
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said he was in “constant contact with the President and Minister of Defense” and that he had received a “direct report from the operational commander.”
Poland’s Operational Command of the Armed Forces linked the drone incursion of its airspace to an attack on neighboring Ukraine by Russian forces.
“As a result of the attack by the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory, there was an unprecedented violation of Polish airspace by drone-type objects”, the Command wrote on X. “This is an act of aggression that posed a real threat to the safety of our citizens.”
The Operational Command said it activated “defensive procedures” and, with the help of the Polish Armed Forces “made decisions to neutralize those that could pose a threat.”
“Some of the drones that entered our airspace were shot down. Efforts are underway to search for and locate the possible crash sites of these objects”, the Command wrote. “The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces is monitoring the current situation, and Polish and allied forces and assets remain fully prepared for further actions.”
