AT&T Launches New Smart Home Bundles With Google Nest, Abode Gadgets

The platform is designed to continue working when your internet goes out by switching to AT&T’s cellular service.
AT&T is trying again in the smart home space by combining Abode and Google Nest products in a bundle backed by the network’s cellular coverage.
The service is called Connected Life. It’s a home security system which works on your Wi-Fi, but switches to AT&T’s cellular network if your internet goes down. There’s also a battery-powered security hub, which means your system won’t fail in a power cut.
You can buy the equipment for AT&T’s Connected Life package in two different bundles. The first is the Starter Kit at $399 with a Google Nest Doorbell, an interior motion sensor, two door or window sensors, and a security hub. If you prefer you can pay monthly at $11.08 a month for three years.
The Advanced Kit comes with the same tech, but also gives you two more door or window sensors, an additional interior motion sensor, a wall-mounted keypad, a key fob, and your choice of an indoor or outdoor Google Nest Cam.
The package costs $699 or starts at $19.42 per month for three years. Google told Wired the tech in these bundles won’t include the latest generation of cameras announced by the brand in October, so it’s likely the last-gen Nest Cam.
You’ll need to have either an AT&T wireless or home internet plan to set up Connected Life. It’s an additional $10.99 a month for the cheapest version with 30-day event video history, smart alerts, and cellular backup.
If you opt for the top-end plan, you’ll get professional monitoring through Abode’s service. The 24/7 monitoring can automatically dispatch the police or medical professionals to your property when necessary.
It also notes the monitoring may allow you to claim insurance discounts. This package costs $21.99 a month. You can also switch between plans from month to month as there’s no annual contract.
The platform uses Google Home’s APIs to bring the smart home service into AT&T’s own Connected Life app. Once you’re set up, you can do everything on one platform rather than switching between different tools.
AT&T says you’ll be able to set up the system yourself at home, but it also offers professional setup from third-party engineers for an additional cost.
This is AT&T’s second attempt at a smart home service after sunsetting its Digital Life platform back in 2022.

Larian has returned to tease a grand vision for its next major project, a new Divinity.
Larian Studios has delivered what was arguably the biggest reveal of The Game Awards 2025 showcase. The Hellstone, the mysterious monolith in the desert that’s been generating a lot of speculation in the lead-up to the show was indeed teasing the studio’s next game.
The Belgian developer is returning to the series it created with Divinity, a non-numbered sequel that’s designed for new and veteran players alike. The announcement was entirely cinematic, setting the tone for what looks to be the next big thing in the space.
Larian calls Divinity its most ambitious title ever, with the studio striving for a level of depth and breadth we’ve not seen before. This is the next project from the Baldur’s Gate 3 team, after all, so there’s understandably immense anticipation for it.
Divinity is a standalone RPG, and does not require you to have played Divinity: Original Sin, or Divinity: Original Sin 2. If you did, however, you’re going to find the journey extra special because of the continuity it offers.
“We’re ready to bring everything we’ve done previously into one place,” said founder and game director, Swen Vincke.
“This marks the beginning of something with more breadth, depth, and intimacy than anything we’ve created before. We’ve been building toward this moment ever since we took our fate into our own hands. This is the Divinity we’ve always wanted to make and you’re going to have loads of fun with it.”
Beyond that, there’s precious little that’s been revealed for Divinity so far. We don’t know what platforms it’s going to be coming to, nor do we even have a release target. We do know it’s an RPG, so you can very much expect something similar to earlier games in the series, and, of course, Baldur’s Gate 3.

Міністр додав, що до цього складного переліку належать також гарантії безпеки, які, за його словами, є надзвичайно важливим та непростим аспектом будь-яких домовленостей. Він підкреслив, що Туреччина продовжує сприяти діалогу між сторонами.
Фідан також заявив, що Стамбул готовий знову прийняти переговори — нагадавши, що влітку там уже відбулося три раунди зустрічей. Досягнутий тоді прогрес у питаннях обміну полоненими та інших гуманітарних тем, на його думку, створив основу для нинішніх дискусій.
Водночас він попередив, що війна вже вийшла за межі України та поширилася на Чорне море.
«Чорне море тепер стало продовженням зони бойових дій. Наразі вони атакують торгові судна і танкери в Чорному морі. Тому, якщо війна продовжиться, вона пошириться на інші місця, на інші частини Європи. Боже упаси, це має припинитися тут і зараз», — резюмував міністр.
Раніше повідомлялося, що Путін намагається представити російську економіку як таку, що здатна підтримувати тривалу війну в Україні, щоб підкріпити поточні заяви Росії про нібито неминучість перемоги.

Dodał, że wymienił z europejskimi liderami dość mocne słowa na temat sytuacji Ukraińców.

Przedtem kanclerz Niemiec Friedrich Merz informował na konferencji prasowej, że wspólnie z liderami koalicji chętnych zasugerował Trumpowi weekendowe negocjacje.
Jeden z dziennikarzy w Białym Domu zapytał Trumpa, czy Stany Zjednoczone podtrzymują chęć zaangażowania się w bezpieczeństwo w Ukrainie. Media donosiły wcześniej, że amerykański prezydent podczas spotkania biznesowego miał stwierdził, że “czasem trzeba pozwolić komuś walczyć”.

Housemarque has shared a new trailer and the release date for its next sci-fi action game, Saros.
Announced during The Game Awards 2025, Saros is now scheduled to launch on April 30, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro, which is a month’s delay from its original March 20 release date.
The Returnal studio debuted a haunting gameplay trailer to go alongside the news, featuring actor Rahul Kohli as the main character Arjun Devraj, as well as the first look at the ensemble cast that will join him, including Jane Perry as Sheridan Bouchard, who also starred as Selene Vassos from Returnal.
First revealed earlier this year, Saros takes place on the planet Carcosa under the threat of an ominous eclipse, and will follow Devraj, a powerful Soltari Enforcer searching for answers on a lost off-world colony.
The trailer also treated us to a fresh look at the game’s third-person combat, which Housemarque calls “bullet ballet”, as well as a new ‘Parry’ ability that players can execute with perfect timing, reflecting certain projectiles at enemies to destroy or stagger them (via PlayStation Blog).
Creative director Gregory Louden explained earlier this year that Saros will stand apart from Returnal’s roguelike mechanics and instead have permanent progression systems.
“A key gameplay distinction between Saros and Returnal is permanent resources and progression making every death valuable”, said Louden at the time. “After every death you will face a changed world, but in Saros you will be able to choose and permanently upgrade your loadout from an evolving set of weapons and suit upgrades to ‘come back stronger’ to overcome the challenges you face on Carcosa.”
Preorder details have also been confirmed, which include a few versions to choose from, including the Digital Deluxe Edition, which offers a 48-hour early access period, as well as four additional costumes, three of which are inspired by PlayStation Studios titles, Returnal, God of War, and Ghost of Yotei.
Players who pre-order Saros or the Digital Deluxe can also unlock the ‘Hands of Shore Armour’.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 swept The Game Awards much as expected, thanks to—well, being a blooming good game, all told. A solid turn-based RPG with a modest budget, absolutely swinging for the fences and hitting more home runs than it misses.
Developer Sandfall Interactive is so happy, in fact, that it just decided to do the developer equivalent of blowing a kiss: The “Thank you” update—that is literally what it’s called—adds a bunch of content to the game for the low low price of ‘nothin’ but disk space’, as seen in the trailer below.
The full patch notes go into greater detail—I’ll rattle off the smaller bits first before we get into the real meat, but to summarise: There’s a photo mode, now; You can save “up to 50 different lumina loadouts”, which is a tremendous quality of life improvement, and there are new filters for them. Lastly, you can abandon battles, rather than simply waiting to die if you messed up.
I cannot understate how hyped I am for that lumina loadout detail. I’d estimate a good four to five hours of my 67 hour playtime in Clair Obscur was spent just messing around with my pictos in menus—and it was always agony when a singular fight forced me to custom-tune my setup, because after the fight concluded, it was always a huge operation to try and go back to the build I was actually enjoying.
The real thick paint here, however, is in the extra content added to the game: Verso’s Drafts is a whole new endgame zone, “taking the characters of Expedition 33 to a brand-new location with new enemy encounters and surprises to discover.” As long as Esquie is able to swim, you can access Verso’s Drafts in Act 3—it’s next to Lumiere. This comes complete with new luminas and weapons.
As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a bunch of new boss battles in the Endless Tower for you to test your mettle against: “They are variations of iconic bosses from the main game, designed to be even more challenging.” This settled a pit into my stomach—I’m yet to test it out, obviously, this came out overnight: But if I have to fight Simon again I’m gonna lose it.
Oh, speaking of, you can just straight-up play this now. No charge, no fee. Given how well the game sold, it’s easy to understand why Sandfall might be in a position to toss this at us for free: But it’s still deeply appreciated. No, thank you! (I reserve this right to rescind this thank you if you really are making me fight Simon again).

Tipster yeux1122 reports on their blog that it costs 1.657 million or 1.834 million won (~$1,123 or ~$1,243) to fix the Galaxy Z TriFold’s folding display. Meanwhile, repairing the cover display will set you back 137,000 or 226,000 won (~$93 or ~$153).

The tipster notes that the lower repair fee is contingent on returning the “diploma,” according to questionable machine translation. We’re guessing this refers to the warranty card.
In any event, the folding screen’s minimum repair cost is on par with the Galaxy S25 Ultra‘s launch price in Korea. Samsung’s Ultra phone launched at a recommended price of 1.698 million won (~$1,150). So you could choose to repair the TriFold or buy a brand-new S25 Ultra instead.
It’s worth noting that Samsung does offer a one-time 50% discount on display repair costs. However, that still means you’re paying at least ~$550 to fix your broken Galaxy Z TriFold. So you’d better get a durable case or skip the device if you’ve got butter fingers.
