Sophia Hutchins, Caitlyn Jenner’s manager, tragically died in an ATV accident in Malibu, with authorities investigating the fatal crash
Family and friends continue to mourn the death of Sophia Hutchins following a tragic accident.
According to TMZ, Hutchins — Caitlyn Jenner’s longtime friend and manager — died on July 2 in Malibu, California, in an accident involving an ATV and another vehicle. She was 29.
While details surrounding the accident remain limited, TMZ reported that Hutchins was riding an ATV on a road when she struck the bumper of a separate moving vehicle.
The impact forced the ATV over the shoulder of the road, sending Hutchins nearly 350 feet down into a ravine. She was pronounced dead at the scene, per TMZ.
Authorities are now investigating the accident and reportedly suspect speed could have played a factor in the fatal incident. Us Weekly has reached out to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department for comment.
Keep reading to learn more about Hutchins’ life and tragic, untimely death.
Hutchins was thrust into the spotlight after she met Jenner in 2015. At the time, the Olympic athlete’s divorce from Kris Jenner was being finalized as she publicly announced she is a transgender woman and had transitioned.
Hutchins, who was also a transgender woman, appeared on several episodes of Caitlyn’s E! docuseries I Am Cait and managed her business affairs and engagements.
Despite walking red carpets together and sharing a close bond, both parties maintained they were just friends and coworkers.
Outside of her working relationship with Caitlin, Hutchins described herself on Instagram as a “serial entrepreneur, founder and investor” who was a “proud American, catholic, dog mom [and] golf addict.”
On the morning of July 2, Hutchins was driving a 2013 Polaris four-wheeler when she reportedly rear-ended a 2016 Mazda sedan in the mountains of Malibu, California, before falling off a 350-foot cliff.
Two people in the Mazda were uninjured, but Hutchins was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after first responders arrived.
One day after Hutchins’ death, Caitlyn was spotted getting coffee in Malibu, California. According to the Daily Mail, the former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was asked about the incident and broke her silence on the tragedy.
“I don’t want to talk,” Caitlyn replied, before acknowledging she was going through “tough times.”
Previously, the reality star called Hutchins her “best friend, family and confidant” in a 2019 interview with the New York Times.
“She is one of the top minds in her field,” Caitlyn added. “Her value in my life is undeniable. The sky is the limit with her entrepreneurial spirit.”
Sergeant Eduardo Saucedo of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told the Daily Mail that he believes Caitlyn visited the accident site while sheriff’s deputies were on scene.
In regards to the actual accident, Saucedo was able to provide a few more details about what led up to the crash.
“It looks like she may have been speeding and rear-ended the other car, the other party, and then that caused her to veer to the right and go off the cliff,” he told the Daily Mail in an interview published July 5. “It doesn’t seem like she was following them. I think she just came up on them and then hit the car. It looked like she tried to maneuver to go around it, but she was going too fast and just ended up clipping the rear end of that Mazda, causing her to veer off and go off the cliff there.”
On July 16, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed Hutchins’ official cause of death was listed as multiple blunt force injuries. Her place of death was a cliff, and the manner is listed as an accident.
The news comes after Hutchins was laid to rest at a Catholic cemetery in Los Angeles, per TMZ.
A medical examiner’s report obtained by Us in September 2025 confirmed that Hutchins’ autopsy came up clean.

Trump administration signals more mass firings of federal workers if government shuts down

0

The Trump administration is signaling that a government shutdown on Wednesday could lead to more firings. Democrats say its an intimidation tactic.
If the government shuts down on Wednesday, many more federal workers could permanently lose their jobs.
That’s the implication of a new memo to federal agency heads from President Donald Trump’s Office of Management and Budget, obtained by BI on Thursday.
The memo directs agency heads to “consider” reduction-in-force notices for employees in programs that are “not consistent with the President’s priorities” and that will lose funding if the government shuts down.
“We remain hopeful that Democrats in Congress will not trigger a shutdown and the steps outlined above will not be necessary”, the memo concludes.
It’s unclear how many workers could be affected by potential reductions in force. The Trump administration has already fired hundreds of thousands of federal workers in this same manner, including via DOGE, and the Supreme Court gave them the green light to do so in July.
This week, the administration moved to rehire some of those same employees.
Government funding runs out after Tuesday, September 30, and both parties have been at odds over government funding.
House Republicans passed a funding bill last week, but it stalled in the Senate, where it needs the support of at least seven Democratic senators to pass.
Democrats have insisted that Republicans must negotiate with them, and have proposed reversals to Medicaid cuts in the “Big Beautiful Bill”, along with extending government subsidies to support the Affordable Care Act, as key conditions.
Republicans have largely refused to negotiate with Democrats and have insisted that they simply vote for the GOP-drafted bill, leading to the impasse.
Top Democratic leaders dismissed the Trump administration’s memo as an attempt to intimidate them into voting for the GOP funding bill.
“This is an attempt at intimidation. Donald Trump has been firing federal workers since day one—not to govern, but to scare”, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a statement. “This is nothing new and has nothing to do with funding the government. These unnecessary firings will either be overturned in court or the administration will end up hiring the workers back, just like they did as recently as today.”
“We will not be intimidated by your threat to engage in mass firings”, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wrote on X. “Get lost.”

Young conservatives say Kimmel faced 'consequences,' not cancel culture after ABC suspension

Young conservatives at Texas Youth Summit argue Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension represents consequence culture rather than cancel culture following his remarks about Charlie Kirk’s death.
After “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” was temporarily pulled from the air over the host’s controversial comments about Charlie Kirk, supporters of Kimmel demanded the show be reinstated, claiming his speech was being silenced.
Days before ABC parent company Disney reversed course and announced the program’s return, young conservatives at the Texas Youth Summit in The Woodlands, Texas, offered mixed reactions, with many arguing that “consequence culture” is not the same as “cancel culture.”
“I don’t know a lot about him, but I have heard lots of things about how he has said lots of lies and lots of hatred on his air. People talk about how his free speech was taken away by that, and I’m like, imagine dying for free speech like Charlie Kirk did”, Ella, a Lone Star College student, told Fox News Digital.
Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was shot and killed on Sept. 10 while speaking at a Utah campus event. Prosecutors filed murder charges against suspect Tyler Robinson, who admitted to shooting Kirk in a text message to his roommate and transgender partner, saying that he “had enough of [Kirk’s] hatred.”
“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” was temporarily pulled from the air last Wednesday after Kimmel appeared to falsely suggest the alleged assassin was a supporter of President Donald Trump.
“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it”, Kimmel said.
At the summit, several conservatives welcomed Kimmel’s removal, saying his remarks crossed the line and ABC made the right decision.
“I love it, I love it, that’s what we need. Culture needs to get rid of that. We don’t need it. Get him off”, Noah said.
“Kimmel’s comments on Kirk’s death were just something that you don’t really see in America”, said Fred, a college student and vice chair of special affairs for the Young Conservatives of Texas. “We should not make jokes about that, especially as soon as it was. If you can even call it a joke — which I think a lot of people on the right would say it’s not — and I think ABC made the right move.”
Natalie, an Austin College student, agreed. “I’m okay with it… the way that he reacted to Charlie Kirk’s assassination was very inappropriate”, she said.
Others raised broader concerns about censorship.
“My personal feelings toward his show notwithstanding, I’m concerned about this kind of escalatory situation where the government is wielding its weight to attack private discourse in a way. I’m concerned about the implications of that when the pendulum may swing the other direction and concerned about the implications for free speech in this country”, said Paul from Houston.
Several attendees stressed that Kimmel’s suspension reflected “consequence culture”, not “cancel culture.”
“I disagree with the notion that cancel and consequence culture are the same thing”, said Will, a Young Conservatives of Texas board member.
“It’s not cancel culture, it’s consequences”, said JK, a Texas Public Policy Foundation intern.
Braelunn, from Montgomery, Texas, argued that cancel culture was different because it meant punishing speech that challenged the mainstream.
“If you say something that the status quo goes against, and you get taken down for it, that is cancel culture”, he said. “That is not the American way, that’s not for our First Amendment.”
Ella echoed that distinction.
“You do have free speech. Everyone has free speech, but there are consequences to your actions. You can’t just be celebrating the murder of somebody and think that that’s okay, think that people want to employ you after that”, she said.
Fred also said the difference was clear.
“If you’re celebrating or joking about someone who’s been shot, there’s going to be consequences with that”, he said. “That’s not cancel culture. That’s just a consequence of your own actions.”
But Paul, from Houston, argued the issue cut both ways.
“I think it’s a difference in the eye of the beholder. The hard reality is, I think folks on the left would probably have said the same thing when they are going after someone for old tweets or anything like that. So unfortunately, I think it is a double-edged sword, I think it comes both ways”, he said.
Kimmel’s comments about Kirk sparked outrage from conservatives and drew a warning from Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr. Disney suspended the show after two major affiliate owners refused to air it, and Kimmel reportedly told executives he would not apologize.
Co-Chairman of Disney Entertainment Dana Walden and Disney CEO Bob Iger made the decision to bench Kimmel, sources previously told Fox News Digital.
The decision sparked outrage and protests from the left, who argued Kimmel — a harsh critic of the Trump administration — was being benched for exercising his free speech.
Less than a week later, The Walt Disney Company announced the show would return.
“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday”, a Disney spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

ICE attack in Dallas: Joshua Jahn identified in latest violence against agency as dangerous pattern grows

0

Multiple attacks on ICE facilities by left-wing agitators have occurred during both Trump administrations, including shootings, arson, and violent riots.
Tuesday morning’s “act of targeted violence” at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas is one of many that have taken place during both Trump administrations at the hands of left-wing agitators.
“Early evidence that we’ve seen from rounds that were found near the suspected shooter contain messages that are anti-ICE in nature”, said FBI special agent in charge of the Dallas Field Office Joseph Rothrock in a press conference.
Later, FBI Director Kash Patel posted a photo of shell casings allegedly found in the proximity of the shooter, one of which appears to have “ANTI-ICE” written on it in ink.
Here is a look at several past and ongoing attacks on ICE facilities and agents:Sept. 24, 2025 — Dallas, Texas
A 29-year-old man named Joshua Jahn is suspected of firing a rifle indiscriminately into an ICE facility in Dallas.
Jahn struck three ICE detainees in an unmarked transport van before killing himself around 7 a.m. One detainee died.
He was found dead on a nearby rooftop. Sept. 19, 2025 — Broadview, Ill.
A large group of anti-ICE rioters gathered outside an ICE processing center in the Chicago suburb early in the morning, blocking the driveway to the facility. When a white SUV attempted to exit, the rioters gathered in front of the vehicle and attempted to block it from leaving.
Tear gas and non-lethal munitions were deployed to control the crowd. One man was subdued when he allegedly picked up a tear gas canister and threw it back towards agents.
A Democratic congressional candidate was thrown to the ground by agents during the scuffle.
The riot continued into the night, and according to DHS, 16 people were arrested.
Tensions continue outside the facility, where this week federal authorities constructed a fence meant to keep rioters and protesters further away from the facility. Sept. 1, 2025 — Portland, Ore.
ICE agents clashed with rioters outside a facility in Portland, eventually deploying tear gas to disperse the crowd.
Notably, a rioter rolled a guillotine into the middle of the conflict zone and placed it outside the front of the facility. Aug. 5, 2025 — Yakima, Washington
A suspected arsonist threw a rock through a window of an ICE building before setting it on fire. July 31, 2025 — Colorado Springs, Colo.
Jose Mendez-Chavez, 31, a six-time previously deported illegal alien with prior convictions for child abuse and domestic violence, allegedly used his own vehicle in an attempt to run over ICE agents who were conducting an operation.
He has not been apprehended, though a passenger in his vehicle, Francisco Zapata-Pacheco, was taken into custody shortly after the incident. July 4, 2025 — Alvarado, Texas
While Americans enjoyed their Independence Day holiday, about a dozen people violently attacked ICE’s Prairieland Detention Facility in Alvarado. The perpetrators allegedly fired weapons towards the facility, striking a local officer in the neck.
Ten suspects were arrested on charges of terrorism, aggravated assault on a public servant with a deadly weapon, or aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a peace officer, according to a July 8 ICE release.
An eleventh suspect, Benjamin Song, was arrested after a week-long manhunt.
He faces three counts of attempted murder of federal officers and three counts discharging a firearm in relation to a crime of violence, all federal felonies.
Song is a known Antifa agitator. A civil lawsuit from 2023 connects him to the far-left John Brown Gun Club Elm Fork chapter. The club, which has chapters across the country, attends left-wing protests as armed security under the guise of protecting protesters from right-wing violence.
A spinoff of the armed group, Redneck Revolt, is run by university professors. June 2025 — Portland, Ore.
Rioters clashed with ICE officials outside the ICE facility in the blue city for about a week straight.
On June 18, Department of Homeland Security assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital that five people were arrested during that melee.
“Last night, Portland rioters violently targeted federal law enforcement — 250 rioters launched fireworks, shined lasers in officers’ eyes to temporarily blind them and stormed an ICE field office”, McLaughlin said. “Ultimately, five individuals were arrested on various charges including assault on federal law enforcement. We won’t sit idly by and watch these cowards.”
ICE quelled the rioters with tear gas and non-lethal munitions.
Days prior, four ICE agents were injured when a mob launched fireworks, smoke grenades and threw rocks at federal law enforcement, as they broke glass and forcibly entered the facility. The facility was eventually secured. Aug. 13, 2019 — San Antonio, Texas
During the first Trump administration, attacks on ICE facilities were common, too.
In August of that year, shots were fired into ICE’s Enforcement & Removal Operations (ERO) in the Texas city.
Christopher Combs, special agent in charge of the San Antonio division of the FBI, reportedly said one bullet was two inches from striking an employee.
“These shootings were cowardly, brazen, violent acts, absolutely without justification and a threat to our entire community”, said Combs. “An attempt to attack federal employees is a federal crime with serious consequences. The FBI will relentlessly pursue every lead in this case to find the individuals who are responsible.”
Nobody was ever arrested in the case. July 13, 2019 — Tacoma, Wash.
In one of the most notable acts of anti-ICE violence, Willem van Spronsen, a member of the Puget Sound chapter of the John Brown Gun Club, attempted to blow up an ICE facility by setting cars on fire on the property and tossing Molotov cocktails.
He was killed by agents as he attempted to ignite a propane container.
Van Spronsen was remembered by the Seattle area Antifa community as a “good friend and comrade” who “became a martyr who gave his life to the struggle against fascism.”
In a manifesto left behind before his death, he wrote: “I am Antifa.”

Alleged Charlie Kirk shooter’s trans lover was gifted straight A student — before a family argument upended his life

Messy and conflicting descriptions are emerging of Lance Twiggs, 22, the mysterious transgender live-in-lover of Charlie Kirk assassination suspect Tyler Robinson. In 2020 he was a gifted pianist with a glowing reputation and spotless record, attending a magnet school for brainiacs. Last week he was called “troubled,” “full of evil” and estranged from his family.
ST. GEORGE, Utah — In 2020 he was a gifted pianist with a glowing reputation and spotless record, attending a magnet school for brainiacs.
Last week he was called “troubled,” “full of evil” and estranged from his family, according to Wisconsinrightnow.com
These are the messy and conflicting descriptions emerging of Lance Twiggs, 22, the mysterious transgender live-in-lover of Charlie Kirk assassination suspect Tyler Robinson.
His former teachers are baffled: “Everything I’ve heard about him, he was a great kid. He was nice. He worked hard,” Ben Kaufman, superintendent of Twiggs’ high school, told The Post. “I heard all good things.”
Twiggs and Robinson went to high school four miles from each other in St. George, Utah, and both graduated in 2022.
Robinson attended Pine View High while Twiggs was at Dixie Success Academy — later named Utah Tech Success Academy — an accelerated program operating inside the local university where students take college level courses and graduate with an associates’ degree worth of college credit.
There, Twiggs was an acne-riddled teen who excelled at piano, playing Gershwin’s Prelude No. 1 in a 2020 recital which also featured his brother, who played Chopin.
“The kids music had been like a peaceful river flowing through our home for many, many years. I feel so grateful,” his mother allegedly wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post from 2020.
The school attracts “students that have been bored through school and want to excel,” Kaufman told The Post, adding the small student body has zero time for extracurriculars and do little else but study.
Twiggs, the son of a hot tub salesman, also worked in a grocery store as a boy, according to social media content reviewed by The Post.
The turning point appears to have come when he was kicked out of his strict Mormon parents’ house in his junior year. The reasons why are disputed.
‘[His father] thought he wasn’t being respectful and was problematic, so they kicked him out,” Twiggs’ relative alleged in an interview with Fox News.
He was also “using drugs and alcohol, and was addicted to [online] gaming,” the family member added.
A relative also claimed Twiggs changed and become more radical in recent years in another interview with Fox, saying: “He hates conservatives and Christians. He hated us. He was not raised that way, but he, over the years, has become really detached [and] been radicalized.”
Braylon Nielsen, 19, says after Twiggs became homeless, her family often took him in.
She claims the drug talk is spiteful gossip and the real reason Twiggs was kicked out was for rejecting Mormonism.
“It was on and off. He was bouncing couches. He would live with us for a few months, but didn’t like taking up our couch. He would crash with friends,” she told The Post, adding Twiggs would disappear when he felt he’d outstayed his welcome.
“I loved Lance. His parents kicked him out of his house and he lived with us. His parents never sat right with my family,” she said, describing the Twiggs family as religious zealots.
“He had straight As. He was very hardworking,” she said, “not a big partier […] He just took care of people.”
A Reddit account reported to belong to Twiggs also posted a take on the exit from his parents.
“Was told I was possessed by a demon and then within 30 mins kicked outta the house because I started laughing and wouldn’t go to the bishop for a blessing.
“Later found out they just didn’t like me and were looking for a way to get me out of the house. Wasn’t even 18 at the time,” it said.
Attempts to contact Twiggs and members of his family by The Post have all gone unanswered.
Whatever the truth, at some point in the last couple of years Twiggs moved into a three-bedroom townhouse in the well-kept Fossil Hills apartment complex, owned by his family.
After high school, Robinson had been away to Utah State University to study computer science but dropped out after one semester and returned home to St. George, where he enrolled in Dixie Technical college as an electrician apprentice and moved into the same house as Twiggs.
There was a third roommate, another young man, but he soon left, leaving Robinson and Twiggs together in the apartment for over a year.
It is unknown whether the two began dating before or after Robinson moved in, but before long Twiggs was boasting to friends and family that he wanted everyone to meet his new “boyfriend” Robinson.
The pair appear to have become consumed with living in a fake online world of games and fantasies.
At the time of his boyfriend’s arrest on September 12, Twiggs had listed his occupation on a Facebook page as “digital creator,” but his source of income remains unclear. One report claimed he worked as a plumber. He wrote online that he aspired to be a professional gamer.
A relative told Fox News that Twiggs was, “maintaining a job and able to pay rent, and was technically an adult.”
The Reddit account believed to be Twiggs was active in message boards, positively discussing illicit drugs like acid and psilocybin, transgenderism, and one dedicated to mocking landlords.
Twiggs’ parents are landlords who own several properties in St. George, according to reports.
Despite their alleged falling out, a review of digital banking records by The Post showed Twiggs parents regularly sent him money for things like doctor visits, prescription drugs, piano lessons, and dog sitting.
That Reddit account also posted about having bulimia, “no gag reflex,” and boasted about seeing targeted online ads for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder medications.
A portrait of Robinson, meanwhile, has emerged painting him as having a bizarre fetish for sexualized cartoon animals, known as “furries,” — with the suspect reportedly having accounts on multiple furry sex sites.
A photograph of Twiggs circulating widely online shows him in a brown, dog-eared onesie, the sort common in the furry subculture. On Instagram, Twiggs used a profile picture of a blue-haired busty cartoon woman dressed in a sexualized Garfield the Cat getup.
Robinson, also 22, was charged on Sept. 17 with aggravated murder, among other crimes, in the slaying of the conservative campus activist and devout Christian, Kirk, at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
Court documents show him confessing to his lover in text messages sent during a 33-hour manhunt, which Twiggs later shared with law enforcement.
Twiggs has not been charged with a crime and authorities say he is cooperating with police in the investigation. His whereabouts are currently unknown, and neighbors say mail is piling up outside the fated lovers’ home.
One of the relatives of Twiggs claimed in their Fox interview: “I think Tyler got a whole lot worse in the year they have been dating. They are big gamers, and obviously they have that group that influences them, as well as others.”
Robinson also expressed to his lover a grudge about his father’s support of President Trump.
“Since Trump got into office [my dad] has been pretty diehard MAGA,” Robinson wrote in the messages.
