In a move sure to disappoint conspiracy theorists and the three guys still using Windows Vista because they really like the desktop gadgets, Blizzard just announced that its contemporary games will no longer support Windows XP or Vista. While this isn’t exactly surprising, it’s been a long time coming. The affected titles are World of Warcraft , StarCraft II , Diablo III , Hearthstone , and Heroes of the Storm.
Blizzard’s support for Windows XP over the years and the decision to include a DirectX 9 render path in many of its games were likely meant to please the large Chinese audience still using that OS.
