That display is the main focal point of the G6, and it has a rather unorthodox 18:9 screen ratio, which LG says allows that smartphone to better fit in your hand (thin bezels of the smartphone also give the LG G6 an 80 percent screen to body ratio). But the aspect ratio isn’t the only intriguing things about the display: LG has also given the display rounded corners, which is a rather nice touch that we’ve previously seen with the Xiaomi Mi MIX. This is also a feature that helps the device stand-up to corner drops a bit better as well.
More importantly, LG is moving past the QHD resolution that has become commonplace with today’s flagship Android smartphones and has moved up a notch to QHD+ (2880×1440), which works out to 564 ppi.
As we’ve previously reported, you won’t find Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor inside the G6 — Samsung bought up nearly all of the initial allotment for its upcoming Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. In its place, you’ll find last year’s flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 821.
