Aunt Jemima may have listeria.
Frozen French toast, waffles and pancakes are being recalled over fears that the breakfast products contain the potentially fatal bacteria, parent company Pinnacle Foods Inc. announced Friday night.
The company said 18 products on U. S. shelves and one in Mexico would be recalled after tests found listeria in the frozen breakfasts foods.
Among those being recalled are the “lil’ Griddlers” pancakes, French toast and sausage meals and several lines of waffles.

No cases of listeria infections linked to Aunt Jemima have been reported, Pinnacle Foods said in the recall announcement.
Listeria can seriously affect young children as well as the weak and elderly. Short-term symptoms include high fevers, nausea, severe headaches and diarrhea. The bacteria can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.
