Japanese firm teases fans with footage of LED snowboard (VIDEO)

It seems that even the most average of snowboarders will be lighting up the slopes this ski season.
Online footage has emerged of a motion-controlled LED snowboard developed by Japanese manufacturers 3 Enomoto – and fans are desperate to get their hands, rather their feet, on one.
“I need this in my life, ” says a fan of the video showing the board being tested in Japan’s Hakuba Valley.
“I don’ t want this. I need this, ” says another Reddit user.
The board, which the company says is in its third prototype, has a trick detection feature which causes lights to react to the rider’s moves.
The boards feature a number of lighting sequences and a 24-bit full-color spectrum. There is also a Bluetooth connector so lighting patterns can be synced with the music on your phone.
The boards are not yet in production, but with fans already suggesting a Kickstarter campaign to speed up the process, it will be no surprise to see it on the slopes soon.
