Paul Bedard, Washington Examiner:
In what it called a “chilling precedent against free speech rights, ” President Trump’s campaign arm said that CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC rejected an ad promoting the administration’s achievements during the first 100 days.
Well, no, come on. Nobody’s free speech rights are being infringed. The networks don’ t have to run any ad they don’ t want to run.
But what’s so bad about it? Let’s take a look!
I don’ t know how much of this is true, other than Gorsuch. And it’s weird that Trump is putting out a “first 100 days” ad, considering he just got done saying it’s an arbitrary measurement. But I’ ve given up trying to reconcile his contradictory behavior.
It’s a political ad. It’s no different than any other BS political ad. I assume the networks turned it down because of the very subtle “FAKE NEWS” part. Well, if they don’ t like it, they should stop spreading fake news all the time.
On that point I agree with him. He needs to do a better job, but guys: So do you.
