Jackson, the 88-year-old father of late pop icon Michael Jackson, was hospitalized following the accident on Friday, TMZ reported, but he later said in a post to his website that he is OK.
« Earlier today while in the Car with my assistant we got involved in an accident as they drove in front of us, » he wrote. « I got out of it without a scratch. »
He added that his assistant needed to go to the emergency room after suffering a broken thumb.

Jackson was a passenger in a black Jaguar that T-boned an SUV, according to TMZ.
He reportedly experienced chest pains after the auto accident and was seen wincing in pain after making his way to a nearby Panda Express.
A photo published by the celebrity gossip site showed Jackson on a gurney. He concluded the post to his website to say he and his assistant had left the medical center and were going out to lunch.
Jackson has been hospitalized multiple times in recent years, including after suffering strokes in 2012 and 2015.
