Fox News host Sean Hannity Friday took to Twitter to defend Reza Aslan after he was fired by CNN for a profane post about President Donald Trump.

CNN on Friday dismissed Aslan, 45, the Iranian-American author and religious scholar, who is the host of its non-fiction « Believer » series, after he called Trump a « piece of s— » in a tweet after the London attacks.
Aslan had slammed the president for using the assaults to reinforce his call for a travel ban to seven Muslim-majority countries.
« CNN has decided to not move forward with production on the acquired series ‘Believer with Reza Aslan, ‘ » the network said in a statement. « We wish Reza and his production team all the best. »
Days later, however, Aslan apologized days for the tweet, which had been deleted.
« I should have used better language to express my shock and frustration at the president’s lack of decorum and sympathy for the victims of London,  » he said. « I apologize for my choice of words. »
