LG has released a new handset in the form of the G6+. The handset will offer nearly the same specifications as the G6, but will feature upgraded RAM and storage space, and will be a global release.
It was reported earlier in the month that a new version of LG’s latest flagship, the G6, would be arriving to market towards the end of the month. Now, it appears that the G6+ has just been revealed and it offers quite a bit more under the hood.
Let’s get this out of the way first – the G6+ does not have an updated processor and still relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 from last year. But, it does update other specifications by boosting the RAM from 4GB to 6GB and upping the storage to 128GB. As for everything else, that all stays the same. It will still offers the same 5.7-inch ‘Full Vision’ display, 3,300mAh battery, and dual 13MP cameras on the rear. Along with the added RAM and storage space, the handset will also be arriving in two new colors: Optical Marine Blue and Optical Terra Gold.
The one launching in South Korea will feature both wireless charging and Quad DAC. Previous releases of the G6 handset had either the wireless charging or Quad DAC, depending on the region. It is unknown at this time whether both wireless charging and Quad DAC will make its way into the variants that will be released to the global market. Currently, there is no pricing information on the G6+.
