The Japanese Coast Guard is aiding the U. S. in the search for the missing crew members.
President Donald Trump on Saturday sent « thoughts and prayers » to the seven missing U. S. Navy crew members and their families after an American destroyer collided with a container ship off the coast of Japan.

The USS Fitzgerald destroyer collided a Philippine-registered container ship in the early hours of Saturday morning.
