Metairie street shut down for SWAT roll Monday morning: JPSO

Deputies closed a seven-block section of Houma Boulevard.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office has shut down a seven-block section of Houma Boulevard in Metairie Monday morning (July 10) as part of a SWAT roll in the area.
The department closed Houma Boulevard between West Metairie Avenue and Lenora Street near Airline Drive, said Lt. Jason Rivarde, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities did not disclose why the team was dispatched to the area. No other information was available.
