A large majority of Americans worry about full-scale war with North Korea and most question President Trump’s ability to handle such a situation, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll released Tuesday.
The poll found 66 percent said they consider North Korea a « serious threat » to the U. S. — a 12 percent rise from a 2005 version of the same poll.
And 74 percent are concerned about the possibility of a full-scale war, with 39 percent « very » concerned.
The results are mostly split along party lines, with 81 percent of Republicans saying they trust Trump at least « a good amount » to handle a North Korean conflict, while just 11 percent of Democrats say the same.
