Senate Still Hoping to Repeal Obamacare Without a Replacement

Senate Republicans don’t have enough votes to pass a health-care reform bill, and so will vote « sometime in the near future » simply on whether to repeal Obamacare, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told journalists this afternoon, the Hill reports. But that plan also looks doomed: Three senators, Shelley Moore Capito (R-West Virginia) , Susan Collins (R-Maine) , and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) , all said they wouldn’t agree to repeal the Affordable Care Act without a replacement, which means a repeal doesn’t have enough votes to pass, either, the New York Times reports.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump said he wants to « let Obamacare fail,  » in order to bring Democrats to the policymaking table.
