Shane McMahon and the pilot were traveling in an Robinson R 44 helicopter which was forced to make an emergency ocean landing.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Shane McMahon, the son of World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Vince McMahon was involved in a helicopter water landing Wednesday afternoon off the coast of the Gilbo Beach in Long Island, New York.
Shane McMahon and the pilot were traveling in an Robinson R 44 helicopter which was forced to make an emergency ocean landing. Neither man was injured in the landing.
« It was very unnerving,  » McMahon said to reporters later. But the pilot « was super calm which made me super calm and we landed perfectly. »
According to the Associated Press, the red aircraft could be seen bobbing on its bright yellow pontoons as small boats circled about a half-mile south of the beach.
It is unknown what caused the issue with the helicopter, forcing it to make an emergency landing.
McMahon is also the son of Linda McMahon, who was appointed the head of the Small Business Administration in President Donald Trump’s administration.
Shane has appeared on WWE television over the years as an authority figure on the company’s TV shows and has stepped in the ring to wrestle as well, including at this year’s WrestleMania event in Orlando.
