Houston musicians and performers organize Hurricane Harvey relief concerts

Here’s a look at what’s coming, who’s performing and how you can help.
Houston’s music community has always rallied behind causes. A sick guitarist. A stolen van. A fallen hero.
And they’re doing it again to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Rapper Bun B and music manager Scooter Braun are already organizing what looks to be an A-list telethon scheduled to air Sept. 12 on four net-works.
But several local musicians and performers are also putting together concerts and events on the ground in Houston. Here’s a look at what’s coming, who’s performing and how you can help.
Dessie’s Drag Race All Stars 2: The popular local drag competition hosts a benefit featuring various drag performers. Donations will be distributed to various local charities. 8: 30 p.m. Thursday at Rich’s,2401 San Jacin-to.
The Show Must Go On: Featuring Ancient Cat Society. A portion of the door will go to the Houston Food Bank. $22.9 p.m. Thursday at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck, 2425 Norfolk.
Los Skarnales: Houston’s favorite ska/punk/Texican band leads a lineup that includes The Skatastrophics, Reyno Sabanero and more. Admission is free but they are asking for donations, including diapers, wipes, baby food, Pedialyte, new socks and underwear, toiletries, towels, blankets, pillows and pet food. 6 p.m. Friday at Fitzgerald’s,2706 White Oak.
The Tontons: Houston indie rock and soul band. Free, but The TonTons made a $500 donation to The Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund and are asking fans to help in any way they can. 7 p.m. Friday at Market Square Park, 301 Milam.
Heal Houston: Featuring a variety of local DJs. Free, but bring canned food, baby supplies, phone chargers, blankets or a cash donation. 8 p.m. Friday at Houston Underground, 805 McKee.
Htown Love Houston Benefit: Featuring Sherita Perez (Gulf Coast indie-folk) , DEM (reggae) , Adam Bricks (antifolk) , Omar Lisandro (R&B/soul) , Let Me Remember (indie) and Niko Diaz (bossa-rock) . Donations will go to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. 9 p.m. Friday at Shoeshine Char-ley’s Big Top Lounge, 3714 Main.
Jeff Crowder: Singer-songwriter from Deep Ella. With Joseph King and Ez-Ra. Monetary donations, along with non-perishable goods, baby items, toiletries and cleaning supplies. $10.9 p.m. Friday at AvantGar-den, 411 Westheimer.
Houston Hang In There: In-store event featuring performances by Rob-ert Kuhn, Gio Chamba and Say Girl Say. Donations benefit Trill Funds for Victims of Harvey. 1 p.m. Saturday at Cactus Music, 2110 Ports-mouth.
BEST BUY: All proceeds from this ‘Houston Strong’ merch is going to Hurricane Harvey relief
DJz for a Cause: Featuring One Love Athena, Yung Chris, DJ Ill-Set, Marco Torres and more. Donations will go to local charities. $10.8 p.m. Saturday at Proof Rooftop Lounge, 2600 Travis.
Houston’s Best Drag Show: Featuring performers Angelina DM Trailz, Foxy Mon’Ro, Blackberri and Luna of the Lilies. Donations benefit AIDS Foundation Houston and The Montrose Center. 8: 30 p.m. Saturday at Guava Lamp, 570 Waugh.
Harvey Relief Benefit: Houston drag queens Chloe T. Crawford, Violet S’Arbleu and more perform. Donations will go to local charities. 9 p.m. Saturday at South Beach, 810 Pacific.
Together We Are Houston: EDM extravaganza featuring Surain, Mat-thew Dunn, Shiny Disco Ballers, Jimi Ohh and more. $10 donation bene-fits The Houston Food Bank and The 100 Club. Also accepting diapers, food and clothing. 5 p.m. Sunday at Stereo Live, 6400 Richmond.
The Costume Party: Dance and pop creatives, featuring Space Kid-dettes, Stoo Gogo and Christian Alexxander. Free but they are taking donations for the Houston Food Bank, Open Gate Ministry (clothing) and the LGBT Disaster Relief Fund. 9 p.m. at Leon’s Lounge, 1006 McGow-en.

Kyle Hubbard: Houston rapper releases new album « All Good Things Come. » He is donating 100-percent of album pre-sale orders to the Hur-ricane Harvey Relief Fund and 100-percent of proceeds from the re-lease event to another local charity. $10.8 p.m. Sept. 16 at The Secret Group, 2101 Polk.
Houston Drag Benefit Show: Featuring Kofi, Kara Dion, Dessie Love-Blake and several of the state’s best drag performers. Money and items will be distributed to local charities. 9 p.m. at Rich’s.
Miss LSVA – Houston Strong: Contestants from the Miss Lone Star Vol-leyball Association drag competition will perform. All donations, and a portion of liquor sales, will go to flood relief. 7 p.m. Sept. 30 at South Beach.
