Kelly Clarkson debuted ‘Love So Soft, ‘ the first single off of her upcoming album Meaning of Life, ‘ on Thursday, and its accompanying music video.
Kelly Clarkson looks ecstatic on the cover of her upcoming Atlantic Records debut. The singer tweeted out the wind-blown, glittery cover of Meaning of Life on Thursday morning (Sept. 7) , in which she is depicted hitting what looks like one of signature diva notes as her hair cascades over her head. Fans who pre-order the album today will get an instant free download of « Move You » and the album’s first single, « Love So Soft. »
Meaning is described as « the album Kelly Clarkson was destined to make with Atlantic Records, a collection of smart and sensual soul-inspired pop that immediately belongs among the legendary label’s classic canon. » The singer’s eighth studio album includes such past collaborators as Jason Halbert, Jesse Shatkin and Grammy-winning producer Greg Kurstin, as well as first time collaborators Mick Schultz, The Monarch, Nick Ruth and others.
Clarkson will perform « Love So Soft » and « Move You » on The Today Show on Friday (Sept. 8) . She also dropped the luxe video for the soul pop nugget « So Soft » on Thursday, in which she models a series of fashionable outfits in exotic locations as she belts out the song’s instantly catchy chorus.
