Poll: How many games will the Detroit Lions win this season?

They have some new additions to the team but also a tougher schedule. Does Detroit make the playoffs in 2017?
ALLEN PARK — The Detroit Lions season is almost here, and the vibes entering the season are a mix of good and bad.
The good is the fact that Detroit has a franchise quarterback in a passing league and has reached the playoffs in two of the past three seasons, including last year’s 9-7 wildcard mark. They’re as healthy now as they have been since training camp started more than a month ago, and that includes free-agent offensive line additions T. J. Lang and Rick Wagner and first-round linebacker Jarrad Davis.
The bad includes the Lions’ four-game losing streak to end last season, the questions looming around the pass rush, the unavailability of left tackle Taylor Decker for at least the first six games and a schedule that looks more daunting than last year’s was.
Opinions on a national scale have varied anywhere from six wins to up to 11. They’ve been more middle-of the road here, as MLive’s Nate Atkins picked an 8-8 record this year and Kyle Meinke went with 7-9. Nate also broke down what they need to do in order to push through into the playoffs in the debut of MLive’s new weekly podcast with WJR Radio called « Inside the Lions. »
