WASHINGTON, October 6,2017 — Since last Sunday’s massacre in Las Vegas, which saw 59 souls shot dead by a lunatic, Hollywood celebs have demanded Congress do something, anything to extinguish the American natural right and constitutionally-protected guarantee to bear arms.
Under the headline “Hollywood Heartbroken, Calling for Gun Control Over Las Vegas Mass Shooting,” the Hollywood Reporter began its story by reprinting the angry and self-righteous tweets of tinseltown’s preeminent star of stage and screen, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
The aftermath to Las Vegas: The answer is to do nothing
Yeah, Hillary Clinton.
The clear message from Hollywood is that Hillary is one of their own.
With that in mind, it’s been reported that the Hollywood mega-producer of such films as “Pulp Fiction,” “The English Patient,” “Good Will Hunting,” and, who could forget, “Sex, Lies, and Videotape,” is the subject of a Gray Lady investigation that, for once, has nothing to do with Russians “influencing” a presidential election against one of Hollywood’s own.
That person is film producer Harvey Weinstein.
“An investigation by The New York Times found previously undisclosed allegations against Mr. Weinstein stretching over nearly three decades,” said the Times.”
Those allegations center on sexual harassment.
Is America headed to Hell in a hand basket?
It’s also interesting that Weinstein has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democratic Party candidates for almost two decades, with $66,000 going to Barack Obama and $33,000 earmarked for Hollywood Hillary.
In fact, the down-to-earth power couple, Bill and Hillary Clinton, have been known to vacation at a rental property right next door to Weinstein for the tidy sum of $50,000 a week.
“A longtime Democratic donor, he [Weinstein] hosted a fund-raiser for Hillary Clinton in his Manhattan home last year. He employed Malia Obama, the oldest daughter of former President Barack Obama, as an intern this year, and recently helped endow a faculty chair at Rutgers University in Gloria Steinem’s name,” said the Times.
They also noted Weinstein’s participation in a woman’s march while attending actor Robert Redford’s Sundance Film Festival in Utah last January.
Back in 2014, Weinstein told CNN’s Piers Morgan he was backing away from producing overtly violent films.
“For me, I can’t do it. I can’t make one movie and say this is what I want for my kids and then just go out and be a hypocrite… I’m not going to make some crazy action movie just to blow up people and exploit people for just the sake of making it. I can’t do it.”
Whether the subject is gun-violence (real or celluloid) or sexual harassment, hypocrisy is the coin of the realm among our Hollywood betters.
And that, apparently, includes Hillary Clinton.
