An ex-con accused of killing his girlfriend of two months was found curled up under blankets on the bedroom floor near her corpse, police sources said Monday.
Charles Pratt, 33, whose rap sheet includes an arrest for rape and strangulation, was awaiting murder charges in the death of 38-year-old Latisha Fowler .
Fowler’s half-naked body was found Sunday morning on the bedroom floor of her Bellevue Houses apartment on E. 28th St. near First Ave. An extension cord was wrapped around her neck and a night table on her legs.
Sources said that when a NYCHA worker showed up to work on clogged pipes in the apartment, Fowler’s 6-year-old son answered the door and said his mom was hurt and needed help.
