A Wake County jury indicted a 23-year-old Raleigh man Tuesday for first degree murder in the August shooting death of a former Shaw University basketball player at a Raleigh apartment complex.
Raleigh, N. C. — A Wake County jury indicted a 23-year-old Raleigh man Tuesday for first degree murder in the August shooting death of a former Shaw University basketball player at a Raleigh apartment complex.
Barry Carnell McCrae Jr., is also charged with conspiracy to commit a felony first degree murder in connection to the death of 23-year-old Quentin Quante Judd.
Judd was shot early Sunday morning at Vie Apartments, at 5903 Wolf Glen Court. Officers responding to a call about a loud party found Judd slumped in a breezeway, suffering from a bullet wound. He was taken to WakeMed, where he died.
Both Judd and McCrae lived at the complex, police said.
McCrae, who is being held without bond and asked fro a court-appointed attorney.
