What to expect from new ‘The Last Jedi’ trailer tonight
It was announced over the weekend that a new » Star Wars: The Last Jedi » trailer would be dropping during « Monday Night Football » on ESPN.
This would be the second trailer released since April, when a clip was shown at « Star Wars » Celebration, a convention for all fans of the « galaxy far, far way. »
» Good Morning America » aired a quick teaser of the trailer today, and in it, we see Daisy Ridley’s character Rey put in some work with a lightsaber. Fans also caught a glimpse of Luke Sykwalker’s (played by Mark Hamill) robotic hand taking back his original lightsaber (The one that once belonged to his father Darth Vader).

Fans can expect the new trailer to build on the relationship between Luke and Rey, the old Jedi Knight and his new apprentice.
But don’t expect it to be all sunshine and rainbows. In the first trailer, fans heard words they never thought would ever come out of Luke Skywalker’s mouth: « The Jedi must end. »

What that means, we’ll have to wait and see.
A character that could also make an appearance tonight is General Leia. This will be Carrie Fisher ‘s last « Star Wars » film after her untimely death late last year.
« The Last Jedi » picks up where 2015’s « Star Wars: The Force Awakens » left off. Rey had just battled Kylo Ren, and after besting the estranged son of Han Solo and General Leia, she went off to find Luke, who was in hiding.
« The Last Jedi » hits theaters on Dec. 15.
