Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the best time to make the upgrade, as these are the lowest prices we’ve seen on SSDs all year. The 1TB Samsung 850 PRO SSD is $375 on Amazon, saving you $155, while the 512GB version is discounted to $204. The smaller 256GB PROs are also on sale for $110 on Amazon and Newegg, saving $30.
While the 1TB is back up to normal pricing, Amazon has the smaller 525GB Crucial MX 300 SATA 2.5-inch SSD for a $130 —a $20 drop off its normal pricing. The MX300 deals are running out of stock very quickly, but Newegg also has them at the same price.
