At CES 2017 in January, Acer introduced the world’s first gaming notebook with a 21-inch curved display. The behemoth, dubbed the Predator 21 X, finally made its way to the Indian market today. Thanks to its unique form-factor as well as impressive hardware, Acer is only making 500 units of the notebook worldwide, making it a limited edition device of sorts.
Hailed as being the ultimate gaming laptop, the Predator 21 X features a huge 21-inch curved IPS LCD display with 21:9 2560 x 1080 resolution and fast 120 Hz refresh rate with support for NVIDIA G-Sync variable refresh rate technology. Powering it is a 7 th Generation unlocked Intel Core i7-7820HK mobile processor, paired with 64GB DDR4-2400 system memory. In terms of storage, the gaming notebook comes equipped with a 1TB SSD and a 1TB 7200 RPM hard disk drive combo. For extreme graphics performance, the notebook packs not one but two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs in SLI configuration. Rest of the highlights include an impressive Dolby Audio Premium setup with 4 speakers and 2 subwoofers, Tobii eye-tracking technology, mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches, a sophisticated cooling system with 5 Predator AeroBlade fans and nine heat pipes, and a multi-gesture touchpad. Thanks to its huge display and impressive hardware specs, the Predator 21 X is anything but portable. It weighs in at 8.5kg and measures 56.9 (W) x 31.5 (D) x 8.4 cm (H). Connectivity wise, the notebook include 2x USB 3.0 ports, 2x USB 2.0 ports, 1x USB 3.1 Type-C / Thunderbolt 3,1x HDMI, and an SD card reader.
The Acer Predator 21 X has been priced at a whopping Rs.6,99,999 in India. It is now available for pre-order on Flipkart and is expected to begin shipping starting December 18 th.
