BenQ has expanded its projector lineup in India with the launch of two new projectors – DX808ST and MW864UST. Both the new projectors use BenQ’s “Dust Guard” technology that offers certified IP5X level of dustproof protection. The technology is claimed to enhance durability by a significant margin and helps reduce maintenance frequency by 1/3 compared to conventional projectors.
The DX808ST is an ultra-short throw projector with a native resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and is intended for interactive classrooms. It can project images up to 120-inches in size and boasts a 3000 ANSI lumen brightness to deliver highly legible images and sharp texts even in bright lecture rooms. Thanks to class-leading high fill factor, the projector is able to minimize black borders around each pixel, which helps avoid the screen door effect normally observed in non-DLP projectors. For a truly interactive learning experience, the projector supports Multi-Touch and Multi-Screen Drawing. With the PointWrite technology, the projector can transform any surface into an interactive whiteboard.
The MW864UST ultra-short throw projector is ideal for classrooms with space constraints. It is capable of projecting images up to 87-inches from a distance of just 8cm. The maximum projection size, however, is 110-inches. This makes it easy for the projector to be mounted directly above the screen, eliminating shadows and glare for students and teachers. The projector comes with a native resolution of 1280 x 800 and a high brightness of 3300 ANSI lumens. It offers MHL connectivity as well, making it easier to share content from Android devices on the big screen.
The BenQ DX808ST has been priced at Rs.48,000, while the MW864UST is priced at Rs.1,10,000.
