Capcom reveals a brand new story trailer for Monster Hunter: World at the PlayStation Experience that also reveals crossover content featuring Mega Man.
At Paris Games Week, it was announced that Monster Hunter: World would feature crossover content with Horizon: Zero Dawn. However, Horizon isn’t the only gaming crossing over with Capcom’s upcoming monster hunting game. As announced at the PlayStation Experience 2017, Capcom’s own Mega Man franchise will also be represented in Monster Hunter: World when it launches next month.
When compared to the Horizon: Zero Dawn content in Monster Hunter: World, the Mega Man crossover seems a bit more substantial. Players will be able to customize their Palicoes, a cat-like creature that joins them on hunts, to look exactly like an 8-bit version of Mega Man, Mega Buster and all.
The Mega Man crossover content for Monster Hunter: World doesn’t stop there. To further celebrate the Blue Bomber’s 30th anniversary, various tunes from his games will also be included in Monster Hunter: World, heard when players use certain weapons in the game. Monster Hunter: World will launch on January 26th, 2018 for PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC release planned for a later date.
