The Xbox One version of PUBG is available for Xbox One owners to buy and play, so you can now go and try and win a chicken dinner of your own.
The Xbox One version of PUBG is now available for Xbox One players to buy and play, likely opening the door to millions of other players on the ludicrously popular battle royale shooter. The game is available for around thirty dollars on the Xbox One Store, and just in time for the holidays.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been available on the PC exclusively ever since it first got onto the Steam Early Access store earlier this year. Since then it’s sold millions of copies, over 24 million, and has become one of the most-played games on Steam. With the game no longer being exclusive to the PC, console players (at least on the Xbox) can now get in on the fun as well.
The Xbox One version of PUBG is the exact same as the version that’s currently on the PC, and the game is also going to be getting some new content in the near future, such as a new map that takes place in a desert with a city, rather than on the rural island that the game’s first map was on.
In PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, up to 100 players are dropped into an isolated location and told to fight to the death. Gathering weapons and armor, players must remain inside a circle that notes the playable area; trying to stay out of the circle will lead to you taking damage as it moves inward, forcing all the surviving players into a smaller and smaller area.
While there’s no indication that the game is going to be coming to the Playstation 4 anytime soon, the Xbox One version of PUBG finally being up for sale might help to draw more players to the game, especially if Microsoft can allow cross-platform play between the Xbox version and the PC version.
Once again, if you want to buy the Xbox One version of PUBG, you can look on the Xbox Store now and buy it for just thirty dollars.
