A recent datamine of the PC version of Arc System Works and Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball FighterZ potentially reveals the DLC characters coming to the game.
Now that Dragon Ball FighterZ has officially launched, it’s safe to presume that there are a plethora of fans currently diving into all that the base game has to offer, but there are surely some who are already looking to the title’s future. As a matter of fact, it looks as if the fighting game’s PC version has been datamined, with the information potentially pointing toward the DLC characters that Arc System Works and Bandai Namco plan to add sometime down the line.
As seen below in the video from the YouTuber known as SergioM3, the data in the PC version of Dragon Ball FighterZ appears to contain more lobby avatars than those that are currently in the base game at this point in time. The names associated with these additional lobby avatars are Broly, Bardock, Zamasu, Vegito, Cooler, and Ranger Android 17, with each of the six characters seemingly being potential DLC additions to the playable roster.
Aside from Dragon Ball FighterZ‘s possible inclusion of the aforementioned characters as DLC, SergioM3 then goes on to surmise that Arc System Works and Bandai Namco also have more modes in mind for the fighting game as well. For instance, the YouTuber managed to scrounge some information out of the title’s PC version that relate to modes that are being called “Z Union” and “Z League,” but there’s little else to determine what kind of content they could contain.
Taking all of this into consideration, while SergioM3’s theories relating to his data discoveries in Dragon Ball FighterZ‘s PC version sound plausible, it’s best to take the details with a grain of salt. After all, the YouTuber even goes so far to say that he could be totally wrong about his suppositions. At the very least, though, SergioM3’s finds are solid conversation pieces that fans can use in their continued speculation about the game’s forthcoming add-on characters and where they should stand in the roster’s rankings.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
