Easton deputy fire chief placed on leave for alleged incident

A deputy fire chief in Massachusetts has been placed on administrative leave.

Easton Fire Chief Kevin Partridge said Deputy Fire Chief Timothy Griffin was placed on leave Monday after Partridge was made aware of an alleged incident Griffin was involved in while off duty in Attleboro.
« Deputy Griffin has been an employee of the Easton Fire Department since May 2001,” Partridge said in a statement. “He is placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of this incident and pending an administrative review by the Easton Fire Department and the Town of Easton.”
Partridge could not comment further due to legal reasons.
Griffin was sworn in as deputy fire chief in November of last year. The department had been without a deputy fire chief for several years, until Griffin was promoted from fire captain in October.
