Prominent Japanese music producer Tetsuya Komuro, who took the music world by storm in the 1990s, announced Friday his retirement, after allegations of an extramarital affair by a weekly magazine.
Prominent Japanese music producer Tetsuya Komuro, who took the music world by storm in the 1990s, announced Friday his retirement, after allegations of an extramarital affair by a weekly magazine.
« I decided to retire to settle the scandal in my own way, » Komuro, 59, said at a news conference the day after the Shukan Bunshun weekly broke the news of his affair in its latest edition. Komuro married his wife, Keiko, the main vocalist of globe, a pop group of which he was also a member, in 2002.
