Multiplayer Mode is an integral component of Monster Hunter World. Since the mode is fairly extensive, there is a lot of information to digest. In our Monster Hunter World Multiplayer Guide, we have discussed some Multiplayer Tips and Tricks, Squad Tips, and other details.
Even though you can play the game in single player mode, there is a lot of stuff that you will miss if you decide to do that. This Monster Hunter World Multiplayer Guide will tell you how to set-up your multiplayer and lay out the advantages that you will get if you decide to play the game with a few of your friends.
Multiplayer introduces a whole set of new features in Monster Hunter World so it is best if you try and gather up your party before you head into the wilderness. In the end, we will give you a few tips on how you can play the game better when teamed up.
There are two different ways for you to play Multiplayer in the game right now. First of all, you can just matchmake with other players who are also looking for someone to play with. This can be done by selecting a quest from the multiplayer menu and then choosing the Matchmaking option. This will team you up with random players.
If you are planning to play with your friends, however, then you need to choose the quest and then select the Create Your Own Quest button. This will give you a quest ID that you can share with your friends for them to join.
This will make the process of playing together very easy, as all that is left after this is to hop into the game and hunt some monsters. Let’s take a look at some of the advantages of playing multiplayer, and how you can use the added numbers to the best of their abilities.
Capcom has decided to bridge the gap between Single and Multiplayer quests. You can call for help in Singleplayer as well, but you can simply play with your friends and erase the need for that. Any quest that can be played in the Singleplayer mode can also be played in the Multiplayer mode.
The game has also added different difficulty levels to make the game more accessible to people, but that is a story for another day. Let’s take a look at how you can get the most out of your multiplayer experience.
First of all, make sure you have a fair bit of time on your hands, as you will fail multiple times. After that, remember to go out on a few intelligence runs so that you can determine what is the best way to beat the monster. The monsters can be incredibly strong so you will probably need to be very careful around them.
Remember to take a look at the terrain, as it can vary from place to place. Terrain can singlehandedly determine the outcome of fights. Therefore, it is best if you look around, as you will probably faint and you need to make your way back to the fight without getting lost as well.
Also, remember to know when to give up and restart as there will be a fair amount of times that you simply cannot win and it is better if you realize that rather than waste your time.
Before a quest, you can go to the Gathering Hub to talk with your fellow hunters and play a fun button mashing game known as arm wrestling. Also, remember that you can leave a quest before everyone is ready, and then re-join when the quest begins. Make sure that 10 minutes have not passed since the beginning of the quest and you will be able to re-join your friends.
Watch out for the Live Events. The developers have stated that they plan to host a lot of timed events with special rewards, so watch out for their announcement and gather your party when they go online. They might offer a way to compete with other players around the world and see who the best hunter actually is.
You can also make squads with your friends which you will automatically join in with without having to share a quest code. This is sort of like the clan system found in many games and will make playing with your friends a lot easier as you can have up to 50 different people in a squad.
That is all we have on our Monster Hunter World Multiplayer Guide. Let us know if we missed something using the comments section below!
