The developers have stated that they plan to host a lot of timed events with special rewards, so watch out for their announcement and gather your party when they go online. They might offer a way to compete with other players around the world and see who the best hunter actually is.
You can also make squads with your friends which you will automatically join in with without having to share a quest code. This is sort of like the clan system found in many games and will make playing with your friends a lot easier as you can have up to 50 different people in a squad.
