Man gets probation for burglary at Rocky's restaurant in Northville

Kevin Greene of Detroit pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking and entering.
A Detroit man will be on probation until the middle of 2020 after pleading guilty to a felony in connection with the September burglary of a Northville Township restaurant.
Kevin A. Greene, 28, was sentenced last month to two and a half years’ probation by Judge Michael Callahan in Wayne County Circuit Court. He had pleaded guilty in November to one count of breaking and entering; a charge of larceny in a building was dismissed in a plea agreement.
Greene was also assessed $8,959 in fines and costs, according to court records.
The burglary at Rocky’s, on Seven Mile, occurred the morning of Sept. 19. A safe and bottles of liquor were reported stolen.
There were no signs of forced entry into the restaurant, but Greene had worked there informally months earlier as part of a cleanup crew, police said.
He was arrested Oct. 5 and a search of his home turned up items that had been stolen from Rocky’s, police said.
