Meltdown & Spectre Patches Now Available for Sony Xperia X and X Compact Phones

Users are urged to update to firmware version 34.4. A.2.19
Xperia Blog reports that Sony’s Xperia X and X Compact smartphones have received firmware version 34.4. A.2.19, which will upgrade devices using firmware version 34.4. A.0.364. Powered by Linux kernel 3.10.84, the update reportedly includes the Android security patch level of February 1,2018.
If you own either the Sony Xperia X or Xperia X Compact, it is strongly recommended to update your devices as soon as possible to firmware version 34.4. A.2.19, which can be downloaded and installed via the OTA (Over-the-Air) update system. Your device will be automatically rebooted for the update to be correctly installed.
