York County Coroner Sabrina Gast said Richard Casler, 70, of Rock Hill was transported to Carolinas Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Two child passengers were also injured in the crash that involved a 2002 Honda SUV and a tractor-trailer, according to Cpl. Bill Rhyne of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Both children were taken to Piedmont Medical Center with what Rhyne said were “minor injuries.”
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, troopers said.
