A flurry social media posts wished Schwarzenegger a speedy recovery and brought back his iconic line into the socialsphere.
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — Former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is in stable condition after undergoing heart surgery Thursday, according his spokesman.
When he woke up from the surgery, his first words were, « I’m back, » spokesman Daniel Ketchell tweeted.
The planned procedure at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles was to replace a pulmonary valve that « wasn’t meant to be permanent » and was originally replaced in 1997 for a congenital heart defect, Ketchell said in an earlier statement.
The news was first reported by online site TMZ.
As soon as the news hit the socialsphere, a flurry of tweets and social media posts wished Schwarzenegger a speedy recovery, including some health advice from Dr. Mehmet Oz.
People couldn’t leave out the fact that the former governor was also a former Mr. Olympia.
And, of course, tweeters couldn’t resist the famous quote Schwarzenegger coined in The Terminator: « I’ll be back. »
