We have come across several reports about the phone in the past, which suggested that the device will come with updated specifications, and will sport the same design as the iPhone SE. A new report about the iPhone SE now reveals that the phone will be a Made in India product. The report further reveals that the iPhone SE 2 launch has seemingly been delayed due to some issues with government policies.
A past report had suggested that Apple may launch the iPhone SE 2 at WWDC 2018. While another report had revealed that the iPhone SE 2 may go official during Apple’s education event. Proving both the reports wrong, a new report now reveals that Apple has seemingly delayed the launch of iPhone SE 2 due to some government policies and some other restrictions.
The report reveals that the upcoming iPhone SE 2 will be Made in India and will be completely assembled in the country just as the iPhone SE. Apple is yet to confirm the launch timeline of the iPhone SE. A past report had suggested that the iPhone SE 2 will be manufactured in India by Wistron — the same company which started assembling the current generation iPhone SE in Bengaluru in 2017.

According to a KGI analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo had claimed that the second generation iPhone SE will be a highly incremental update with just a specification bump and minimal design changes.
In terms of specifications, iPhone SE 2 is expected to come with the same 4-inch display as the iPhone SE. It is also tipped that the iPhone SE 2 might come with a glass rear panel and support wireless charging. The KGI analyst has suggested in the past that the iPhone SE will not come with FaceID, instead include TouchID and a single rear camera setup.
