Domestic handset maker Lava has launched an Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone called the Lava Z50. The Lava Z50 is the first Android Go smartphone to go on sale, as the Micromax Bharat Go and Alcatel 1X haven’t gone on sale yet.

Price and offers on Lava Z50 The Lava Z50 can be purchased at Rs 4,400. The handset will be available both online — Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal — and offline through over 100,000 retail stores. Lava has partnered with Airtel for its ‘ Mera Pehla Smartphone ‘ programme, because of which customers get a cashback of Rs 2,000, bringing the effective price to Rs 2,400.
To get this cashback, customers will need to recharge their smartphone with Rs 3,500 in the first 18 months and once again in the following 18 months.
Specifications of Lava Z50
The Lava Z50 features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display of 480x854p resolution. It has 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass coating. The handset offers dual-sim functionality and is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek processor. For storage, it has 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. For camera, it offers a 5-megapixel sensor on both front and back with LED flash.
The camera app comes equipped with features such as Face beauty, Funny Cam, HDR, Super Night, Video Beauty, Filter, Template, Panorama, GIF Mode, Intelligent Selfie, Sound Picture, and Child Mode.
Backed by a 2000mAh battery, the Lava Z50 measures 135×66.6×9.7mm and weighs 140 grams.
