Flaherty and Thome are the first two Michigan teammates to each score 20 points in an NCAA Tournament game.
The Wolverines, who won their first-round game in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in its seven appearances, led by double digits the entire second half.
They have never advanced to the Sweet 16.

Michigan, in its first NCAA Tournament since 2013,shot 57 percent from the field, while Northern Colorado shot 42 percent, making just 6 of 19 3-point attempts.
In the Bears’ 91-69 win over Idaho in the Big Sky championship on March 10, they shot 54 percent and were 14 of 25 from behind the arc.
Guard Savannah Scott led Northern Colorado with 25 points, while Savanah Smith scored 16.
