Later, the brand launched its successor, the Bharat 5 Plus, in January 2018 with a price tag of Rs. 6,999 for the offline markets. Now, the company has announced yet another smartphone in this series, and it has been named the Bharat 5 Pro. The smartphone comes with features that are similar to its predecessor, and offers a 5.2-inch display, 3GB of RAM, and a massive battery capacity of 5000mAh.
The Micromax Bharat 5 Pro is available in just one colour variant: Black. It is priced at Rs. 7,999, and will on go on sale via offline stores across the country. Given the competition in the price range, the Bharat 5 Pro will face fierce competition in India from the newly launched smartphone from Xiaomi, the Redmi 5 which was launched earlier today with a starting price of Rs. 7,999.
The Bharat 5 Pro sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD screen with HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels). Powering the phone is a 1.3GHz quad-core processor from an unspecified brand. The smartphone comes packed with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and has an option to expand the storage through a microSD card.
As far as the imaging details go, the Bharat 5 Pro is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash. While on the front, it features a 5-megapixel selfie camera that also is accompanied by a LED flash. On the software front, the device runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box.
In terms of connectivity, you get features like a dual-SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM Radio, microUSB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio port. Last but not least, this device comes packed with a massive 5000mAh battery. You can use the phone’s battery to charge other devices by using USB OTG. The phone also comes with a Auto Face Unlock feature.
