Reliance Jio has announced that it’s existing Prime members can enjoy the service for free for another year, while new users can opt the same for Rs 99.

Last February, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio revealed that it crossed 100 million subscribers in just 170 days since the commercial launch. At the same time, the company introduced annual subscription service dubbed Jio Prime for its existing and new users, which was supposed to end on March 31st. However, just a day before, the emerging telecom operator has announced via a press release that its existing Jio Prime users can continue to enjoy their services for another year absolutely free.
As per Reliance Jio, subscribers who have already paid Rs 99 for the Jio Prime membership, will not have to buy the same again for another year. However, those who join the company’s network and opt for the Prime membership after April 1st, 2018, will have to shell out Rs 99. Just like earlier, the Prime benefits will be offered to users for a period of 12 months, i.e. till March 2019.
Notably, existing Reliance Jio Prime members will have to go through an opt-in progress to avail the free services for one more year. Reliance Jio’s Prime membership offers numerous benefits to its subscribers.
