We can tell who are T-Mobile subscribers carrying the Samsung Galaxy S8 or Samsung Galaxy S8+ in their pockets. How? Because they’re the ones with the huge ear-to-ear grin on their faces. Today, the Un-carrier started pushing out Android 8.0 Oreo to Sammy’s 2017 flagships. The update is rather hefty with the one for the Galaxy S8 weighing in at 1.55GB (version G950USQU2CRB9) and the update for the Galaxy S8+ tipping the scales at 1.51GB (version G955USQU2CRB9). Also included in the update is the new streamlined Settings menu, Background Execution Limits for better battery life in standby, the ability to snooze individual notifications, and the new notification dots to alert users to specific apps where they have an unread notification. The update also includes the February 1st, 2018 security patch, and Samsung Experience 9.0. The latter includes improvements to the Edge panels, new clock styles for the lock screen, and an Always On display.
