A remastered edition of Red Faction Guerrilla was announced today, set to arrive for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The ‘Re-Mars-tered’ edition brings a number of graphics improvements.
Fans of the Red Faction series will once again be able to experience the highly destructible environments of Mars soon. THQ Nordic announced today that the Volition-developed popular third-person shooter from 2009, Red Faction: Guerrilla, is getting a fresh coat of red paint as part of a remaster, which is set to arrive later this year.
Arriving with the inventive title, Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars- tered, the new version will bring a host of new features centered around improving the original’s graphics. At least on the PC, these enhancements include native 4K support, new textures, as well as graphics improvements for shadows, lighting, and shaders, with more to be announced at a later date.
The exact new improvements console players will be receiving have not been revealed just yet, but THQ Nordic did say that Xbox One X support is planned.
