Chinese smartphone maker Gionee today launched two new budget Android smartphones in the Indian market – Gionee S11 Lite and F205. Both the S11 Lite and F205 were made official at Gionee’s global launch event held in China in November last year.
The Gionee S11 Lite has been priced at Rs.13,999 in India, while the F205 is priced at Rs.8,999. Both smartphones will be available from offline retail stores across the country.
The Gionee S11 Lite features a 5.7-inch FullView display with 720 x 1440 HD+ resolution and runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset clocked at 1.4 GHz. In terms of memory, the handset includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. At the back of the S11 Lite is a dual-camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies, the handset features a 16MP resolution sensor on the front. While the rear camera offers a dedicated portrait mode, the selfie camera on the front offers a Bokeh Selfie mode. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, and 4G VoLTE. Keeping the lights on is a 3030mAh capacity non-removable battery. The S11 Lite also includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of software, the Gionee S11 Lite runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based Amigo OS 5.0 out of the box.
The Gionee S205 sports a 5.45-inch FullView display with 720 x 1440 HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 64-bit processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. For further expansion, the handset includes a dedicated microSD card slot. Unlike the S11 Lite, Gionee F205 sports a single 8MP camera on the back, while on the front is a 5MP unit. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and 4G VoLTE. The battery inside the handset is a 2670mAh unit, smaller than many of its rivals. In terms of software, the F205 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based Amigo OS 5.0.
