The Celtics’ Jaylen Brown had a couple of particularly amazing quotes after Boston beat the 76ers 101-98 in overtime in Game 3 on Saturday night to go up 3-0 in the second-round series. The end of the game was completely bonkers.
Philly hit a buzzer-beater to force OT and the Wells Fargo Center accidentally released the confetti, thinking the game was over. In extra time, in was ultimately a steal by Al Horford that sealed Boston’s victory.
First, Brown said, « This win was the confetti for us. Take it like that. »
Then, when asked about Celtics head coach Brad Stevens’ comment about how he doesn’t want his players to « get caught up » in the fact that they have a commanding 3-0 series lead, Brown said this:
« We shouldn’t get caught up. We gotta finish the drill. I’m not one that was ever taught to play with our food, so when it comes down to it, we gotta finish it. It’s first to four, so we gotta take care of business. »
